Drawing on both personal experiences and those of others, Lloyd is a gifted storyteller who writes music that evokes a wide array of emotions. Lloyd's unique sound is defined by a bold approach to write music in a multitude of genres, not allowing his creativity to be constrained to any particular style.

 

His first album “Another Chapter to Write” was a collection of songs written over several years and the diversity within this album illustrates his curiosity to explore different styles.

 

His latest EP 'Imani Na Upendo', released in July 2020, was a side-step in a new direction. Drawing inspiration from his musical influences, Lloyd explored further artistic styles and genres for this EP. 'Imani Na Upendo' follows four stages of a failing relationship from musing, diverging, healing and emerging. This journey is represented musically with a natural flow from the first song to the last.

 

As a performer, Lloyd has honed his craft the old fashioned way, from busking on the streets to gigging in pubs and bars. He has performed both with bands and as a solo artist and performs both within small, intimate venues to larger venues and crowds.
